If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know I love sharing my wisdom with the world in several different ways, from blogposts, to books, to consultations, to speaking events, to online courses, and more. That is why I am happy to announce my involvement in the iLEAD program at the University of Newcastle.
The iLEAD program connects student mentees looking to explore their leadership capabilities with their ideal mentors. I have been selected as a mentor by two students who are interested in my mentorship because I am the head of an entrepreneurial business focusing on upcoming IT products. I’m really looking forward to guiding these students towards unlocking their fullest potential.
Over the next few months, I will:
- Ask my mentees thoughtful questions about their goals, aspirations, and methods.
- Provide guidence and contructive feedback on their approach to other people in professional situations.
- Cultivate a positive culture of mentoring between industry and the University of Queensland.
- Nudge my mentees further towards independence.
